Current Projects

Right now I am working on the following projects and cd's:

Ceumar and jazztrio with Mike del Ferro, Olaf Keus & Frans van der Hoeven

This project is a wonderful mix between jazz and Brazilian music. The compositions they play balance gently between my 'soft voice' and the dynamic jazzy trio with the Dutch piano player Mike Del Ferro, drummer Olaf Keus and bass player Frans van der Hoeven. In the spring of 2010 I am preparing to produce a live recorded album with this group.

Ceumar: solo programme 'Meu Nome'

MEU NOME is my fourth and also the most recent solo-production and they tell me it is already considered to be one of the best contemporary (a subtle mix of Brazilian folk, pop, jazz & samba ) albums from Brazil!

Recorded completely live in the FECAP-theatre in the heart of Sao Paulo, I perform with only my guitars and voice.This record has been produced by Ben Mendes ( Amsterdam NL) and has been released as an independent production. Online and fysical distribution through iTunes, Amazon and cdbaby.

Ceumar with Kokoura

Kokoura is a new musicproject initiated by masterdrummer Mousse Drame ( Senegal) and producer / saxophone player Ben Mendes. The released cd 'Anitie' received many great reviews. Currently the band is preparing songs for a tour in 2010/2011. On this cd I am featured on some songs like the fantastic song 'A cor do amor'.
